Stephen Medcalf, MPT, Partner, grew up in the Peninsula Bay Area and graduated from Woodside High School. While attending high school became very passionate about sports and fitness training. This passion and drive lead to being recruited to play football at SFSU where he later received a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Physical Therapy. He received his Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of California, San Francisco/San Francisco State University. Throughout his education and life he has been enthusiastic and consistent with physical training. This includes weight lifting, running, skiing, mountain biking and coaching kid’s soccer teams. As a physical therapist he furthered his training with a manual therapy emphasis, taking continuing education courses from the well known faculty from the Institute of Physical Art and NAIOMT to acquire the necessary skills to be set apart as an expert.
Michael Schommer, DPT, Partner was born and raised in Visalia and graduated from Mt. Whitney High School. From a very young age he was involved in sports and exercise. He continued his education at the University of California, San Diego where he received a BS in General Biology with a minor in Psychology. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Chapman University. Throughout his education he was committed to physical activity, ranging from running to surfing to soccer, and backpacking. As a physical therapist, he has continued to strive for furher education for the most up to date management of male and female athletes while also examining the biomechanics of running.
